New TVPs single - The Good Anarchist

tvps japanese reissues contain no bonus or rare tracks..we dont play that game.they are simply reissued in new packaging for japan only where they cannot get the original or previous reissues..
the packaging is diff in so much as suprise its mostly in japanese!th e first reissue singles 77-87 is not strictly chrnological..
it does include bridget riley and my imaginary friend which featured on the very rare irish ep on fantastic plastic..
you me and lou reed.why that said track and the fourth track which escapes my mind are not on the cd ..well i dont know.

next reissue is the painted word at beginning of february..hope this helps.

its simply a reissue just for the japenese market because its in demand and th eprevious reissue is not avaialble..
i would never complemplate bonus or rarities tracks..id rather burn in hot oil.
difference is the packaging is mostly in japanese as you,d expect.painted word follows in few weeks..
the singles collection 77-87includes bridget riley and my imaginary friends..apparently sought after by televisionados. .

actually in the end i had a great time last few days..managed to swap to another night shelter in euston and it was terrific fun..
honestly. .really nice vibe.still few loons but everyone ttreated great..volunteer staff were great..

Daniel here.Just to reassure the young people of Gothenburg Sweden that we the tvps have shiny new shoes and
cravats,and a new dress for our chanteusse Yohanna all ready for our trip to your wunnerful country.

Swedish tv are broadcasting tvps documentary on monday 14th november..

Had a great time at the Brit Awards last night.
Pissed next to Justin from top rock act(and sadly no prize this time)The Darkness..
my aim was obviously not true because i inadvertently splashed his lovely boots.
Was offered coke on several occassions(i naturally declined) (best not to say who offered it to me).
Seemed to be a bit of a bug going around as Alan Mcghee,Mike Skinner
and the untalented ones out of The Libertines all were in
and out the toilets with streaming noses. I hope they get well soon.
Had a lovely night on the senior management table of Domino Records label.
Shared canapes and general chit chat with some of the lower order girls from the typing pool.
Edward entertained everyone with his bird whistling noises and Victoria showed a leg(or two).
Much back slapping(back stabbing more like) from e.m.(sic)and Rough Trade(sick)
who congratulated us on our deal with the pizza company.

i worked for swansong records..the led zepp dudes in 1977 after leaving school.
it was almost on my doorstep in the kings road,i lived at 355 they were at 484 i think..
next door of the site of the famous sixties boutique granny takes a trip.
it was a bizarre job cos there was little to do.
the label was not very active but it was pleasant to meet some of th artistes.
The only one i knew was maggie bell who was singing solo. she used to be in stone the crows..
i knew her from her doing her laundry at mums laundry.. which i think was number 402 kings rd.
she was very sweet and friendly.i really did not have a clue about zeppelin or bad company,
dave edmunds i was familiar with,of them all him and robert plant and paul rodgers were really nice.
peter grant their manager was a utter bastard! he pinned me up against the wall once
for being late back from the bank. He gave me a cheque to cash and i mistakenly
went to the wrong bank! the bank called him and he went apeshit!
some of swansong had regular parties in the top floor room.
it was the only room i was supposed not to enter.
one day however out of curiousity i did..shit! they had had a black magic orgy by the look of things..
its known that jimmy page was heavily into that stuff,
there were used condoms and occult stuff lying around.
i learned about zep as i worked there and found myself suprisingly liking some of the music.
funny thing was i worked there at time of my first single 14th floor..
plant and edmunds and maggie were a great help and encouraged me..

with me and mark sheppard the drummer! he was note perfect..
he took me and a girlfriend to his managers penthouse and offered us cocaine(which i naturally declined)
then gave me a lift..his girlfriend drove. anyway we stopped at traffic lights he jumped out went
to the boot..he had a barrel of beer in there on tap! poured one for him one for us and jumped back in..
he held up the traffic,of course all the other drivers recognised him as he was number one at the time..
took him up on his insistence to meet mum and dad..they loved him!

another time at swansong i was phoned very early, about7.30am to come to the office and pick up a
package and deliver it..it was supposedly an important tape..
well they gave me £20 to get immediately in a cab and deliver to a certain someone..
well this someone only lived in fulham road,a few minutes walk,
naturally i pocketed the money and walked briskly,geting there i was met at the door to his basement
flat by a very dishevelled chap,all shaky and sweaty..
he pulled me into the kitchen told me to help myself to whisky(which i naturally declined)
whilst he ripped open the package,poured the contents onto the table and dived headlong
into the white powder..it looked like a minature version of the Alps made out of cocaine,

once at Royal Albert Hall,London..remember i was tripping and they were dipping in
to their poison of choice,nice chaps,bit mad.
most recently had drinks and canapes with film maker micheal winner,
dont ask how i ended up at his ansion in kensington,i was looking in a gallery window when he
led a crowd out of the galery.."all back to mine ",

as i was saying about TOWNSHEND when i was 17 i worked for an african charity,
in london,not africa i hasten to add,anyway townshend and his wife sponsored dozens
of children in africa

going back into studio to re-record a few songs with edwyn collins..

christ that was a weird holiday..
finally escaped from crisis centre with most of my marbles intact..never managed to free the blue gorilla.
got stressed out last night at the place..people freaking out because place was shutting in morning..
treated us like sheep on last morning..
they could not wait to get rid of us and our souvenir towels and cheap toiletries...
as for tvps still haven't got copies of omb and pw videos wiill get it together asap...
busy writing more songs..just waiting for

Ah Tom robinson was really charming. Could not stand him years ago.I am getting sentimental
in my old age. He did all the hits and we all sang along.all dirty, scuzzy refugees
and great unwashed dispossed and smelly homeless people like one happy melting pot
.Now Tom is married with two charming children i must be the only gay in the crisis village.
He did a fantastic version of a day in the life on piano with reverb. the psychedelic bit was fantastic..
he did nice version of walk on the wild side and i have always hated that song.
Awful things in the real world..sri lanka and japan disasters..

I Should Explain

i am in the millenium dome..they have turned it into a homeless shelter for xmas until dec 30
it is quite bizarre.ok i am not homeless on the street anymore.
sister and girlfriends have been looking after me but felt like i wanted some space at xmas..
theres up to 1000 people here at a time but the place is massive..
its like a science fiction film acted out by the great dispossed and unwashed...
theres everything a person in need could want here though that doesnt make it right that places
like this need to exist...its a test for me being here having been dispossed myself..
a lot of people i thought i would not see and many i would not want to see again..
too many junkies,abusers and users in here..too many drugs and not enough for some..
i can say no to it quite easily now..see myself in these these people..not pretty or clever....
written 2 new songs while here..there are guitars and pianos..been helping with music lessons..
place is manned almost entirely by volunteers..some extraordinarily kind people to give up their time..
as for tv personalities?..new year will finish mixing the 16 songs..record a few more..
singles as planned for elefant in spain and good village in california..
very excited that we may sign to my favourite record label but i can only let you guess about that one..
except franz ferdinand will maybe have a bit of competition....
will finish some new filming to complete the dvd/video release..
for people who have sent money thanks for your patience it will be few weeks but worth waiting for...
gigs next in scotland..dates to be confirmed..
may we should be going to europe..france,germany,holland and austria..
maybe switzerland..definitely sweden june 24 in malmo perfect from now on festival and stockholm..

getting weirder

hello my sweet's i am having such a weird fuck of an experience..
today i have painted..had my portrait taken with 20ft fred flintstone
played in goal in 5 a side indoor football tournament..
i was in goal..team of ex-junkies won it!
now i have been chatted up by mad eyed volunteer called ruth who wants me to go back to her place!
christ she came on to me before she had her coat on..sorely tempted..

we were filmed in the old east berlin at a huge festival with nico and thatre of hate and various
russian rock bands..i have never seen it but it was broadcast to 30 million in the eastern bloc..
we were great that day..me ,empire and joe foster,,two guitars NO BASS!

it appeared i think on an ideal guest house video comp...
2.love the bomb.same as before.hated doing it.but jowe and jeff are hilarious as was mrs jowe.sorry sue!
jowe made a 12ft mock missile..i did not make much of an effort..
didnt like the guy making it..we should have stole the camera and did it ourselves.

saw derek jarman weeding his garden..he said hello..nice man sorely missed by film world.
Jowe wore a fab skeleton outfit which he naturally made himself.had a sweet little girl in a fairy outfit..
we got to ride on toy trains..i got annoyed again at miming..my hair was very long..and i look bored..
i mimed deliberately badly...jowe refused to take off the skeleton outfit for hours before the shoot..
he actiually travelled from london in it on the fucking train! what an artist!
4.SALVADOR DALIS GP..now this is more like it..at last i got my own way..
our friend harriet smith made it in her house and garden for tiny amount of money on super 8.
i love it..its got lots of toys coming alive and it was a lovely day,
i fell off her garden wall.fortunately my parka broke the fall.
it got played lots of times on bloody MTV i never saw it but was chuffed for harriet...
me and harriet almost made a film in brompton cemetery or maybe kensal green for
all my dreams are dead..

Still on the bus no need to fuss tvps new line up is impossibly glamorous..

and the lovely Victoria have recorded 16 new tunes they will be mixed in couple of days
obviously takes little time to get singles sorted but we will get a crack on...
we are playing in athens greece on december 18..i suppose its a comeback gig..
but we hope to do a london soiree before then...depends if we can find some decent stage clothes...

ok me and my rock star guests will be recording oct 19,20,21..
a 7" for elefant in spain but it might be a cd cant say yet..
an ep 7" for a cool californian label GOOD VILLAGE...
and probably emi.polydor or some other indie in uk..
naturally an album and cd to follow..narrowed it down to 32 new songs so that wont take long!
the elefant a side will be called AND THEN THE WIND BLEW IT ALL AWAY..
the californian one ALL THE MIDNIGHT COWBOYS..but if the recordings are crap
i will be back in rehab by the end of next week and you will have to do another benefit gig,,,AS IF!

The lowdown on that night before my late appearance at "Kim's Underground".
Firstly they thought me and my accomplice Richie from Edinburgh were from California
and would not let us in! Then after trying the

Next minute the peephole opens and the 6 locks on the door are opened

The guy who I now realized was about 6 foot 6 inches (that's about 2-2 meters in American money),
puts a couple of pills in our hands- "No charge guys".

Well this was 4 AM in the morning, the next 5 hours are a blur!
The words coke, ketamine, transvestite and soft drinks come to mind
